Bedok shop offers realistic mahjong-themed mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival from S$26

Know someone who loves mooncakes and mahjong? Well, these Mid-Autumn Festival treats will be the perfect gift for them.

A food stall at Fengshan Market, Ah Kiat Frozen Food, announced on its Facebook page that it will be launching mahjong-themed mooncakes that you can order, just in time for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Ah Kiat Frozen Food has two series of mahjong mooncakes — the 3D Big Three Scholars Mahjong Mooncakes and the limited edition Golden Thirteen Wonders Mahjong Mooncakes for all mahjong and mooncake enthusiasts alike.

Its 3D Big Three Scholars Mahjong Mooncakes (S$26 per box) come in a box of 16 pieces, each looking too real to eat.

Each box contains five different flavours including honeydew, sweet potato, red bean, green tea, and pandan bean paste.

If you like a more glamorous mahjong set, try its Thirteen Wonders Mahjong Mooncakes (S$28 per box).

Completed with a golden finish, these atas mooncakes come with different snow skin flavours such as pumpkin, sweet potato, green tea, and charcoal.

Their fillings come in the same mix of flavours as the 3D Big Three Scholars Mahjong Mooncakes.

Customers can order their mooncakes now and collect them every Sunday from July 25 onwards until the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Also sells otah buns and dim sum

Other than its mooncakes, Ah Kiat Frozen Food has a delectable selection of otah buns and frozen dim sum.

How to order

Customers can place their orders through WhatsApp at +65 8321 7291 or on its website and pick up their items directly at the store.

Alternatively, customers can opt for the delivery service that charges different prices depending on delivery distance.

For a four km radius from the store:

  • Minimum order of S$50 is required; orders above S$60 will have no delivery charges.

For a four km to 10km radius from the store.

  • Minimum order of S$60 is required with a delivery fee of S$5; Orders above S$80 will have no delivery charges.

For more than a 10km radius from the store.

  • Minimum order of S$60 is required with a delivery fee of S$8 to S$10; Orders above $120 will have no delivery charges.
