A neighbour who may or may not be very fond of the Hougang woman has come forward to provide further information on her daily antics.

The latter attracted Singaporeans' attention when she refused to share the lift with a food delivery rider.

While the middle-aged woman cited safe distancing measures as the reason for her lack of friendliness, Singaporeans boo-ed her attitude as one that is unreasonable, after footage of the incident was uploaded online on July 23.

More recently, a July 25 report by Lianhe Wanbao revealed that the same woman has allegedly taken the liberty of cooking along the corridor, right outside a neighbour's window, on at least two occasions.

This was apparently told to the Chinese daily by 40-year-old resident named Kai Wen.

According to Kai Wen, the woman did not wear a mask while cooking in the public area.

She allegedly stir-fried meat and vegetables during those instances.

Husband defends woman

Although the woman declined an interview with Wanbao, her 50-year-old husband has stepped forward to defend her.

On the incident where she refused to share the lift with the delivery rider, he said that his wife had already allowed two other residents to use the lift before her.

The husband added that there was nothing wrong on her part for wanting to maintain safe distancing during a pandemic.

He also said that it was "creative" of his wife to cook along the corridor, and only those who failed to appreciate such creativity would see it as a bad thing.
