On July 15, Instagram account @sgfollowsall posted a short four-second video of the delivery rider fixing the tyre.

In the video, the rider can be seen tugging the punctured tyre in an attempt to remove it from the rim.

There also seemed to be a box of tools on the side of the road, although it's uncertain who it belonged to.

According to the caption posted by the Instagram account, the driver had been stranded for an hour when the foodpanda rider came along and offered his help.

The rider spent an hour fixing the driver's tyre.

Although the driver wanted to engage professionals, the rider insisted that he could do the job, and help save the former a hefty repair fee.

According to two companies that offer tyre-repair services, it can cost anywhere between S$50 and S$80 per tyre.

The rider even offered to teach the driver how to fix the tyre, saying that he'd taught a few "youngsters" how to do so in the past.

Praises from Instagram users

Instagram users praised the rider for his selflessness.

One user even surmised that the delivery rider could have earned up to S$30 if he had picked up jobs within that hour instead of helping the driver.
