130 new locally-transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 78 linked to Jurong Fishery Port cluster

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 133 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Friday (July 23).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore to 63,924.

130 locally-transmitted cases

130 of the cases are locally transmitted, of which 78 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster while six belong to the KTV cluster.

There are 101 linked cases, of which 64 have already been placed on quarantine, while 37 were detected through surveillance.

29 cases are currently unlinked.

Amongst the cases are two seniors above 70 years old who are unvaccinated, and are at risk of serious illness, said the ministry.

Three imported cases

In addition, there are three imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

One was detected upon arrival in Singapore, while two developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
