4 new Covid-19 cases detected from Yishun & Hougang blocks testing

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing to determine linkages and the source of transmission.

In a separate update from the Ministry of Health (MOH), four new Covid-19 cases have been reported from the recent Covid-19 swabbing exercises at Yishun and Hougang residential areas.

Blk 745 Yishun Street 72: 3 cases

MOH updated that they have concluded the mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for 509 residents and visitors of Blk 745 at Yishun Street 72 on June 2, 2021.

As of 10pm on June 2, 506 individuals tested negative and three have tested positive for Covid-19 infection.

Blks 501 & 507 Hougang Avenue 8: 1 case

On the same day, 681 individuals who lives or visited Blk 501 and 507 Hougang Avenue 8 have been tested, MOH said.

665 individuals tested negative and 15 more test results are pending. So far, one person has tested positive for Covid-19 in this swabbing exercise.

Details on the four positive cases will be reported in upcoming press releases by MOH. Out of these four cases, the details of two cases were reported as unlinked cases on June 2 update.
