The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 20 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore as of 12pm on June 6, 2021.
This brings the total number of cases to 62,196.
There are six new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of which one remains unlinked.
One unlinked case
Case 64068 is a 13 year-old female Singaporean who is a student at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School and was last in school on May 18.
She developed anosmia on May 29 and did not seek medical treatment until June 4 when she visited a General Practitioner (GP) clinic and was tested for Covid-19.
Her test result came back positive for Covid-19 infection on June 5.
Her serology test result is pending.
Summary of new cases linked to previous cases
There are five new community cases linked to previous Covid-19 cases.
Of these five cases:
- One is related to the NTUC Foodfare (308 Anchorvale Road) cluster
- One is related to the McDonald’s delivery riders cluster
- Two are related to the Tektronix cluster
- One is related to the Case 63931 cluster
MOH said that it has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission.
As there have been no more cases linked to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Pasir Panjang Terminal clusters for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days), the clusters have now been closed.
14 imported cases
In addition, there are 14 imported cases today.
Of the 14 cases:
- Six are Singaporeans
- Six are Singapore Permanent Residents who returned from India
- One is a Work Pass holder who arrived from Myanmar
- One is a Short-Term Visit Pass holder who arrived from Indonesia to visit her family member who is a Singaporean
They had all already been placed on SHN or isolated upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN or during isolation.
22 more cases discharged
A total of 22 more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
In all, 61,635 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged.
There are currently 207 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital, with two in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
A total of 321 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
A total of 33 people have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
