McDonald's S'pore gives out 2,000 free BTS meals to Changi Airport frontline workers

McDonald's Singapore highlighted that the highest level of safety measures in food delivery was observed.

While many BTS fans, or ARMYs, were scrambling to order the much-awaited McDonald's BTS meals which launched in Singapore today, some lucky frontline workers managed to get them for free.

McDonald' Singapore announced that it has distributed 2,000 BTS meals to Changi Airport staff working in Zone 1 as a gesture of appreciation.

Zone 1 of the airport is deemed to be the highest-risk zone, as it includes the terminal piers, arrival immigration halls, and baggage claim areas.

Prepped and delivered

For S$8.90, the BTS meal includes:

  • 9-piece chicken McNuggets
  • Large fries
  • Large coke
  • Two new limited-time sauces: cajun and sweet chili

The 2,000 meals were prepared at the McDonald's outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 3, and were subsequently delivered to the staff in Zone 1.

General manager of McDonald’s Singapore, Benjamin Boh, said that the BTS meals were meant to spread some cheer and encouragement among the workers "who have displayed admirable grit and dedication in keeping the airport running 24/7 in this current climate."

Senior Vice President of Airport Operations Management of Changi Airport Group, Albert Lim, added that McDonald's has been a part of the Changi Airport family since 1981, and extended their thanks to the fast food chain for their support and care.
