An 18-year-old in Singapore will be charged in court on May 6 for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act.
Allegedly threw punching ball with the base attached
According to a May 5 news release, the police said that they received a call for assistance along Bukit Batok street 52 at about 11:10pm on Jan. 17, 2021.
Through follow-up investigations, officers from Jurong Police Division established that the teenager had allegedly thrown a punching ball with the base attached down from his residential unit at the location.
However, police did reveal from what height the punching ball was thrown.
Possible punishment
If found guilty of rash act, the teen could be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$2,500, or both.
Police also said:
"The police have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law."
