A woman died in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) on May 12 after falling off from a high floor.

Climbed over railings

TTSH revealed in a Facebook post that the 27-year-old was an outpatient, who visited the hospital for follow-up care at their clinic.

She had attended a clinic appointment and was accompanied by her family in the morning.

Witnesses later found her at the escalator lobby on the Basement 2 floor of the Medical Centre.

Upon examining CCTV footage, it was discovered that the woman had climbed over the railing at level 6 and fell down.

Medical staff at the hospital tended to her immediately, and she was conveyed to the emergency department. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries.

TTSH doctors and medical social workers are currently with the family to offer them their support.

Investigations are ongoing and TTSH said that they are working with the police on this case.

The police told Mothership that they received a call for assistance at the hospital at around 12.10pm.

The police said she was attended to by hospital doctors and subsequently pronounced dead.

Police investigations into the unnatural death case are ongoing.
