Students from Kong Hwa School, St Andrew's Junior School & St Stephen's School test positive for Covid-19

The school premises are closed for cleaning and disinfection and home-based learning will be conducted.

In addition to Yio Chu Kang Primary School, more schools are closed and will be conducting Full Home-Based Learning (HBL) today (May 14).

Yesterday, Yio Chu Kang Primary School announced to parents and guardians that the school is shifting to HBL from May 14 to 18 due to a confirmed Covid-19 case.

At least three more schools are closed today (May 14). These schools are St Stephen's School, Kong Hwa School and St Andrew's Junior School.

SAJS student tests positive for Covid-19

According to a letter sent by the school's vice-principal to parents and guardians, as seen by Mothership on May 14, a student at St. Andrew's Junior School (SAJS) has tested positive for Covid-19.

The student was a close contact of another positive case not related to the school.

In order to facilitate thorough cleaning and disinfection of the premises, the school is shut and HBL is conducted for all students on May 14.

Students and staff who were in close contact with the student will be placed on Leave of Absence.

Two Kong Hwa School students test positive for Covid-19

Another letter sent by Kong Hwa School's principal to parents and guardians, as seen by Mothership on May 14, revealed that two students at Kong Hwa School have tested positive for Covid-19.

The school is also closed for cleaning and disinfection while students have started HBL from May 14.

Students and staff who were in close contact with the student will be placed on Leave of Absence.

In addition, The Straits Times reported that two more students from St Stephen's School also have tested positive for Covid-19.

The school is also closed on May 14 and students can complete the lesson packages at their own time over the weekend.
