Peninsula Plaza, White Sands & Sun Plaza among over 30 places visited by infectious Covid-19 cases

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore stands at 61,730.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 41 new cases of Covid-19 infection on Thursday (May 20).

This brings the total number of cases to 61,730.

27 of the cases announced on May 20 are in the community, of which six are unlinked. There are no new cases in the dormitories.

The remaining 14 cases are imported.

Overall, the number of new cases in the community has increased from 71 cases in the week before to 190 cases in the past week.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 11 cases in the week before to 52 cases in the past week.

More than 30 new locations added to list of places visited by infectious cases

MOH regularly updates a list of public places visited by confirmed Covid-19 cases for more than 30 minutes when they were infectious.

Over 30 new locations were added to the list on May 20:

All Jin Tai Tong Food Industries stores closed

All 11 retail stores under Jin Tai Tong Food Industries have been temporarily closed for two weeks after a warehouse assistant tested positive for Covid-19 on May 15.

There are 11 retail stores under Jin Tai Tong, including five medical halls and six JinTai Mart convenience stores. Around 100 employees went for a swab test on May 18 and were arranged to be put on quarantine for two weeks.

In total, the Jin Tai Tong cluster now has eight cases, with most of them being warehouse assistants.
