Covid-19: 30 community cases in S’pore on May 21, 8 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 40 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on May 21, 2021, as of 12pm.

This brings the total number of cases to 61,770.

There are 30 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom 22 are linked to previous cases.

The remaining eight cases are unlinked.

Among the locally transmitted cases, 16 had already been placed on quarantine earlier.

MOH said that there are no new cases in the dormitories.

In addition, there are 10 imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Of these, eight are returning Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).
