A woman in Singapore is appealing for witnesses who may have seen an accident that claimed the life of her father.

The woman, Fiona Cheng, posted an appeal on Facebook, sharing details of her father's May 25 collision with a car.

He had been cycling along Bedok North Avenue 4 when he was struck around 9:20am to 9:30am.

According to Cheng's post, he died five hours later.

The accident took place at the junction of Bedok North Road and Bedok North Avenue 4, near the Bedok Police Division headquarters.

The junction is a stone's throw away from the popular Bedok 85 Fengshan Market & Food Centre.

Unfortunately, CCTV cameras in the area did not capture the accident.

As such, Cheng was informed that traffic police needed more witnesses.

"If anyone happened to be that area and may have seen or recorded that accident involving a car and bicycle, please contact the traffic police at 65470000 concerning case no. G/20210525/0152," wrote Cheng.
