Man, 23, arrested after allegedly breaking into woman's home in Jurong East & molesting her

He will be charged in court on Jan. 5 with housebreaking.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly broke into a woman's home in Jurong East and molested her.

According to a police news release, on Jan. 2 at around 5pm, the woman reported that she had been molested by a man who had broken into her home along Jurong East Street 32.

Officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man through ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV images, and arrested him on Jan. 3.

The man will be charged in court on Jan. 5 with housebreaking.

The offence of housebreaking carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.

The offence of outrage of modesty carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, a fine, caning, or any combination of these punishments.
