A migrant worker who pulled a child to safety off a ledge outside a HDB flat has identified himself and given thanks to God.

The worker, who goes by the Facebook handle, Kûâšhâ Ďâš, put up a post identifying himself as the one who took the child off the ledge and onto his boom lift.

In his short post, the worker wrote:

At a work time I saving one children life in Singapore..at last my life is a good job..l pray for the God i doing the work properly..

The post was accompanied by several photos of the worker in action and cradling the child in his arms.

What happened?

A young child was seen standing on the ledge below a window outside of a third storey HDB flat unit at Block 243 Hougang Street 22.

The child could be seen holding onto the laundry poles to maintain balance.

A migrant worker in a boom lift carefully manoeuvred over the parked cars below to reach the child.

The migrant worker then carefully hauled the child off the ledge and onto the boom lift.

Onlookers cheered and applauded when the child was safely removed from the ledge.
