Local low cost carrier Scoot has introduced a new dining experience initiative, known as Scoot@Home, which will allow fans of the airline to enjoy its meals from the comfort of their homes.
In case you're wondering why this sounds so familiar, this is because Scoot's "big brother", Singapore Airlines (SIA), recently introduced a similar initiative, among a slew of other experiences.
The difference? Scoot's dining experience will be completely free, and will also be hand delivered by cabin crew to ten lucky Scoot fans in Singapore.
Don't have to spend any money
According to Scoot, its new dining experience is a rare experience for Scoot fans who "had missed flying with Scoot so much" to enjoy a "gastronomical experience", by replicating the airline's onboard dining in the comfort of their own home.
Scoot's cabin crew will hand deliver the airline's signature Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang, along with several other Scoot favourites, such as the Roasted Chicken Thigh with Herbs De Provence, and the Soya Chicken rice with Pak Chye.
This will be prepared by Scoot's "Awesomely Talented Airline Service (ATAS) chefs", and will be "expertly paired with a bottle of still water, a snack and a piece of two-ply paper towel".
According to Scoot's CEO Campbell Wilson, Scoot@Home will allow Scoot fans to reminisce their experience of enjoying an onboard meal while eagerly waiting to land at their destination, without spending the equivalent of a "pair of Scoot tickets or more".
To stand a chance, to win a Scoot@Home package, you can head over to Scoot's Facebook page, and tell the airline how much you missed flying with Scoot.
SIA@Home's packages start from S$288 onwards
Recently, Singapore Airlines (SIA) unveiled an initiative known as "Discover Your Singapore Airlines", which offered SIA customers a slew of unique experiences.
One of these experiences is SIA@Home, where customers can enjoy SIA's in-flight dining experience, without leaving Singapore.
These SIA@Home packages cost S$288 for a business class meal at home, or S$448 for a similar experience with a first class menu.
Although the package includes a "cabin crew concierge" service, SIA's famed SQ Girl will not physically present the food, although those who pay more for the "Book the Chef" add-on will be able to have a chef personally heat, plate and serve the meal in their homes.
