Apple has just announced a special event happening virtually on September 15, 2020.

For those watching the event, it will start at 10am Pacific Time on Tuesday (Sep. 15), which is 1am on Wednesday (Sep. 16) in Singapore.

Apple's senior vice president of marketing, Greg Joswiak, also tweeted an event teaser:

What might be launched at the event

According to TechCrunch, an online site that publishes technology news, a new iPhone 12 with 5G capability will be among some of the items that might be unveiled at the event.

While some are looking forward to the launch of the new iPhone 12 with 5G technology, it might not be announced at next week's event due to the impact of Covid-19 on production.

CNET also reported on the possibility of an October release for the 5G iPhone.

Nikkei Asian Review reported that Apple had overcome setbacks to narrow production delay to "just weeks instead of months".

One thing that will most likely be announced is a new Apple Watch, with rumours of new features, such as a pulse oximeter, blood oxygen level monitoring, and increased battery life.
