Update, July 6, 2020, 10:20pm: This article has been updated after it was brought to our attention the photo had been doctored.

Politics by definition means "division".

But there will be instances where a tender and tentative equilibrium may be reached.

Like when two people in a relationship still apparently manage to get along despite having different political views.

A Facebook photo uploaded on July 3 shows a couple wearing t-shirts bearing symbols from different political parties.

The woman was apparently in a white t-shirt displaying the People's Action Party logo, while the man was in a shirt with the Workers' Party logo.

The couple was also seen holding hands.

The Facebook post had the caption: "What's this couple implying?"

Photo doctored

However, the photo that was uploaded onto Facebook has been doctored.

The man and woman in the original image did not have any political party logos on their attire.

Responses to doctored image

But the doctored image managed to attract a substantial number of comments, with some saying that people can still get along despite supporting different parties:

Others chose to interpret it more politically:

One pointed out another obvious relationship between hammer and lightning:

Lmao.
