Police are investigating two individuals for causing damage to election posters in two separate incidents.

Damaged PSP poster along Bukit Batok

The first incident occurred on July 1 at around 1:50am when police officers found a damaged election poster belonging to the Progress Singapore Party (PSP), along Bukit Batok East Avenue 5.

The poster was reportedly discovered lying at the bottom of the lamp post.

Later on the same day, PSP lodged a police report about a second damaged poster along the same road.

The night before on June 30, PSP revealed in a Facebook post that several of their posters in Chua Chu Kang GRC had been torn down.

Photos they shared showed the posters lying on the ground, while the People's Action Party's (PAP) poster remained secured to the lamp post.

Police subsequently identified a 51-year-old man as the suspect who is believed to have damaged both posters.

They arrested him on July 2 at around 1:50am.
