Jurong Point FairPrice & Fengshan Market & Food Centre among 9 locations visited by infectious Covid-19 cases

People who have visited these places during the specified timings should monitor their health closely.

Earlier on July 5, the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed an additional 136 cases of Covid-19, taking the total confirmed number of cases to 44,800. 

There are 18 cases in the community, of whom six are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents, two are Work Pass holders, and 10 are Work Permit holders.

In addition, there are seven new imported cases as well, all of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Nine additional locations

MOH reported nine additional locations where confirmed cases in the community visited during their infectious period (past 14 days). However, these locations may have been visited by confirmed cases before.

These are:

  • Boon Lay Place Market and Food Village, June 21, 6:15am to 7:15am
  • All India Supermart at 41 Norris Road, June 23, 4:05pm to 5:00pm
  • Yuhua Market & Hawker Centre, June 24, 9:45am to 11:45am
  • Giant at IMM, June 24, 12:20pm to 2:20pm
  • Giant at IMM, June 26, 8:10pm to 10:50pm
  • Fengshan Market & Food Centre, June 28, 8:30am to 9:00am
  • Toast Box at Jurong Point, June 28, 3:20pm to 4:50pm
  • COURTS at Jurong Point, June 28, 3:20pm to 4:50pm
  • NTUC FairPrice at Jurong Point, July 1, 2:10pm to 2:40pm
  • NTI Food Court at 964 Jurong West Street 91, July 1, 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases would already have been notified by MOH.

As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

There is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been. The National Environment Agency will engage the management of affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.
