Facebook has taken down a second pro-People's Action Party page for violating its policies.
This take-down action comes slightly more than a week after a similar page with pro-establishment partisan political interests was removed by the social media platform.
This second page taken down, "Fabrications About the PAP", is named the same as the first one.
A Facebook spokesman confirmed the page has been unpublished.
In response to media queries, Facebook said: "We've taken action on accounts in Singapore for violating our policies. This is based on the violating behaviour of these accounts and not based on the content posted from these Pages."
Facebook also said this was part of its efforts to deal with problematic accounts.
It is not known if the second version of the page was set up by Chua Chin Seng -- the person who started the first page.
But the second page had indicated that it was meant to replace the earlier unpublished one, which had about 250,000 likes.
In early June, Facebook said it took similar action against several accounts in Singapore for what it called "inauthentic behaviour".
Facebook also laid out several steps it is taking to protect the integrity of the Singapore general election.
This included doing sweeps of its users to ensure it removes accounts that impersonate candidates and elected officials.
Context
The first "Fabrications About the PAP" (FAP) was unpublished by Facebook in late June.
FAP was started in 2011 by Chua in response to "anti-government" websites.
The page's posts can be perceived as undermining other opposition political parties in Singapore as it consistently slammed opposition parties and lauded the People's Action Party (PAP).
FAP got into trouble with the law once previously in 2017 for breaching election advertising rules during the Bukit Batok by-election.
It received a warning from the police.
