Here's the Ministry of Health (MOH) evening update on the Covid-19 situation for July 16.

Earlier today, 248 new cases were announced, bringing the total to 47,126.

Locations visited by Covid-19 cases

MOH released a list of locations visited by Covid-19 cases during their infectious period, i.e. 14 days.

Here's some of those locations:

  • Resorts World Sentosa, July 4, 5 and 6
  • New World Centre, July 6
  • Giant Express, July 6
  • Traffic Police, 10 Ubi Avenue 3, July 7
  • Sembawang Shopping Centre, Master Prata, July 8
  • Alsalam Restaurant, 427 East Coast Road, July 9

Breakdown of new cases

Imported cases: 4

There were four imported cases, with three Singaporeans/Permanent Residents and one Work Pass Holder.

They returned from the U.S., Azerbaijan, and Indonesia.

All were placed on a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving (SHN).

There were 11 cases in the community.

Cases in the community: 11

There were 11 cases in the community. They comprise two Singaporeans, five Work Pass holders, two Work Permit holders, and two Dependant's Pass holders.

Five of these cases were linked to previous cases or clusters. One of them was working in frontline Covid-19 operations, and was tested for the virus.

Six of these cases are currently unlinked. Of these, five were asymptomatic and were detected by testing workers in essential services living outside dormitories, while one was diagnosed with acute respiratory infection when seeing a doctor.

Discharged

268 cases were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities, taking the total of recovered patients to 43,256.

3,697 cases are isolated and cared for in community facilities, while 146 confirmed cases remain in hospital. There are currently no patients in the intensive care unit.
