249 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore on Jul. 15, 16 cases in the community

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 249 cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore, as of July 15. 

The vast majority are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

This brings the total number of cases to 46,878.

There are 16 cases in the community, all of whom are Work Pass holders.

Of these 16 cases, four were close contacts of earlier cases, and had already been placed on quarantine.

Additionally, there are five imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

Epidemiological investigations are ongoing for the other cases.

Further updates will be shared by MOH in the evening.
