The plight of a stray cat in Bedok has been making its rounds on Instagram.

News of the feline, named Tiki, was first posted by user @bokki_jiang on July 4.

According to the account owner, a friend has been feeding Tiki for "many months," and trying to get close to the cat.

Tiki, however, is "super afraid" of humans, and can only be fed from a distance.

The following photos of her were the nearest the feeders could get after months of building trust.

Usually, Tiki hides herself in dark places during the day, and only comes out at night for food.

While the feeders do not know if she has been abused, they are appealing for a rescuer who will be able to give the cat a new life.

"We know that there are many strays out there that needs help but we’re trying to do our best within our reach!
