On June 19, 2020, Singapore entered Phase 2, and many circuit breaker restrictions have been lifted.

Singapore residents may gather in small groups of up to five people, and dining-in will also resume at F&B establishments.

While Singaporeans are flocking outside to enjoy their new freedom, a Facebook post by Nee Soon Town Council shows the work that had to be done by cleaners in order to facilitate the safe-reopening of HDB facilities.

Town council cleaners had to clean the chairs and tables in the void decks thoroughly.

The exercise equipment and benches found near the HDB estates also had to be disinfected for safe use by residents.

The cleaners also had to remove the social distancing tape that were ubiquitous during the circuit breaker period.

You might remember the many tapes plastered all around.

According to the Nee Soon Town Council, the cleaning of these estate facilities and removal of social distancing tape and stickers will be a progressive process.
