Singaporean photography enthusiast, Alex Chua, captured a heartwarming scene between a young girl and her brother on camera while queuing for his breakfast.

The sweet interaction appears to have occurred at Pek Kio Market & Food Centre.

Sibling love

In a Facebook post on Jun. 13, Chua shared that he had been waiting in queue when he noticed a young girl in the queue in front of him.

According to Chua, the girl's father came by and gave her a S$5 note and told her to order food for herself,

Chua said that after the father left, the girl "kept looking around, nervous".

However, the girl's nervousness was alleviated when her brother joined her in the queue, wrote Chua:

"Her brother joined her moments later and you could see the relief on her face. She stood close to him and held his hand tightly in hers."

The boy then reportedly turned to his sister and said, "Don't worry. I'm here."
