Police arrest man, 45, for suspected outrage of modesty in Queenstown

The police have arrested a 45-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

On June 20, 2020, the police received a report that a 68-year-old female victim had been molested by an unknown man along Mei Ling Street on June 19, 2020.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on June 20.

The man will be charged in court on June 22 with outrage of modesty.

The offence carries a jail term of up to two years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
