Staff at M'sia's national broadcasting station RTM wear school uniform to mark schools reopening

Back to school, at work.

Malaysia's national broadcasting station, RTM, marked students returning back to school by allow presenters to wear their former school's uniforms.

This was reveled on Facebook on June 24 by RTM director-general of broadcasting, Nor Yahati Awang.

According to Yahati, RTM's news and Selamat Pagi Malaysia team at the main headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and state offices dressed up in school uniform to "show RTM's support for teachers and students who are returning to school".

According to Malaysiakini, those who took part comprised of newscasters, journalists and other staff.

The post has since garnered over 2,000 shares and reactions.

The staff at RTM's Chinese-language station, Ai FM, also joined in and put on their school uniforms.

RTM's Labuan FM, also showed their support for those going back to school by putting on school uniforms as well:

Schools closed for almost three months due to Covid-19

According to Malaysiakini, secondary schools were reopened on June 24 for those sitting for public examinations after almost three months.

Schools were previously forced to shut in light of Covid-19 pandemic and the movement control order (MCO), reported MalaysiaKini.
