142 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore on June 19, 1 community case involving prison inmate

Total cases number 41,615 now.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 142 new cases of Covid-19 infection as of Friday, June 19, 12pm.

This brings the total number of cases to 41,615.

The vast majority of the cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

Prison inmate

There is one new case in the community, a prison inmate on a Social Visit Pass.

According to MOH, he arrived in Singapore before the implementation of border measures. He had been segregated from the general inmate population since his admission to Changi Prison Complex on June 6, and was tested positive for Covid-19.

There are no Singaporean/ Permanent Resident cases.
