2 more S'porean men, both 22, arrested for alleged involvement in Holland Village fight

They are known to the 26-year-old who was arrested on June 19.

A fight broke out at Holland Village on the first day of phase two on Friday, June 19.

That night, a 26-year-old man was arrested by the police for causing annoyance to the public when drunk.

Another two 22-year-old youths arrested

Following the police investigation, another two men were arrested on June 21.

According to the police release, both Singaporean men, aged 22, were allegedly involved in the case of affray at around 10:50pm.

The two 22-year-olds and the 26-year-old are known to one another and had been dining at eateries along 21 Lorong Mambong.

The three men are also being investigated for possible breaches of safe distancing measures under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures).

According to news reports, there were at least two fights at Lorong Mambong on Friday night.

The other fight occurred earlier.

Offenders of affray under Section 267A of the Penal Code can be jailed up to one year, face a fine of up to S$5000, or both.

Offenders of causing annoyance to the public when drunk under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act face a fine of up to S$1,000, a jail term of up to six months, or both.
