Geylang Sheng Siong outlet visited by confirmed Covid-19 cases on 4 separate occasions

A number of popular shopping malls were also visited by Covid-19 cases.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 113 new cases of Covid-19 infection on Thursday, June 25.

Although the number of new Covid-19 cases have been on a downward trend, MOH also announced 12 new public places visited by confirmed cases for more than 30 minutes during their infectious period.

These are the new locations:

  • Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre (7 Kaki Bukit Avenue 3)
  • Sheng Siong Supermarket (301 Geylang Road)
  • Haniffa Pte Ltd (118 Dunlop Street)
  • Heartland Mall (Hougang Street 21)
  • Queensway Shopping Centre (1 Queensway)

  • Seah Im Food Centre (2 Seah Im Road)
  • VivoCity (1 Harbourfront Walk)

  • Peninsula Shopping Centre (3 Coleman St)
  • Kallang Wave Mall (1 Stadium Place)
  • Bugis Junction (200 Victoria Street)

There are a number of popular shopping malls near central Singapore among the new locations, such as Bugis Junction, 313@somerset and VivoCity.

Malls located in the heartlands also featured prominently in the list, with Queensway Shopping Centre, Heartland Mall and Northpoint City listed as new locations.

In particular, the Sheng Siong supermarket outlet at 301 Geylang Road featured on the list multiple times, visited by confirmed Covid-19 cases on four separate occasions.

The outlet was visited on June 11 (4.55pm to 5.30pm), June 12 (5.45pm to 6.20pm), and twice on June 14 (12.30pm to 1pm and 6.30pm to 7.10pm).
