247 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 5 cases in community

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminary confirmed 247 new cases of Covid-19 infection as of June 17, 12pm.

This brings the total number of cases to 41,216.

The vast majority of the cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There are five cases in the community, of whom two are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents and three are Work Pass holders.

The number of new Covid-19 cases and, in particular, cases reported in the community have been stabilising ahead of Phase 2 of Singapore's exit from the Circuit Breaker.
