The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 407 cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of June 14, 12pm.

This brings the total number of cases to 40,604.

There are nine cases in the community, including four Singaporeans, one Work Pass holder and four Work Permit holders.

Health declaration was clear before arrival in Singapore

MOH also reported one imported case today, after over a month with zero imported cases.

The last time an imported case was reported appears to be May 11.

The imported case on June 14 is a Bangladeshi national who arrived in Singapore on June 10 for medical treatment.

The medical treatment he sought is unrelated to Covid-19.

The imported case was placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore, and could only leave his designated place of residence for medical consultation and follow-up, MOH added.

His health declaration submitted before immigration clearance indicated that he did not have any Covid-19 symptoms, and he had not been diagnosed or suspected to have Covid-19 infection.

However, when he was tested for Covid-19 upon arrival in Singapore, the results came back positive on June 13.

MOH is currently conducting contact tracing and identified close contacts have been placed under quarantine.
