The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 407 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm on Sunday, June 14.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 40,604.

The majority of the reported infections are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There is also an imported case involving a Bangladeshi national who arrived in Singapore on June 10 to seek medical treatment that is not related to Covid-19.

Case details

Among the confirmed cases, there are nine in the community.

Of the nine, four are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents and five are Work Pass holders.

Amongst the four Singaporean cases, three (Cases 40268, 40479 and 40480) were detected due to proactive surveillance of persons working at dormitories, even though two of them (Cases 40268 and 40480) are asymptomatic.

The remaining case, Case 40571, is a family member of a previously confirmed case, and had already been quarantined earlier.

He is asymptomatic, and had been swabbed during quarantine to verify his status.

781 discharged

781 more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

In all, 29,589 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 238 confirmed cases who are still in hospital.

Of these, most are stable or improving, and two are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

10,751 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.

26 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.

Places visited by community cases

MOH has identified several locations as public places that confirmed Covid-19 cases had visited for more than 30 minutes during their infectious period.

On Sunday (June 14), MOH updated the list with one more location: NTUC FairPrice (20 Lengkok Bahru).

The supermarket was visited on June 9, from 8:15pm to 8:45pm.

Here are the details of all the locations visited by patients during the infectious period:

As a precautionary measure, persons who have been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

There is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, as cleaning and disinfection will be carried out, MOH said.
