Eligible S'poreans to get remaining Budget payout of up to S$1,000 from June 18, 2020

All Singaporeans eligible for government handouts can expect the second payout from the Care and Support Package from June 18, 2020, according to Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat's Facebook post.

Eligible Singaporeans can receive up to S$1,000 from this second payout.

Here's the breakdown of amounts:

  • S$300/ S$600: Remaining Care and Support - Cash. For adult Singaporeans aged 21 and above, based on Assessable Income (AI) for YA2019.
  • S$300: Additional cash for parents. For adult Singaporeans with at least one Singapore child aged 20 and below in 2020.
  • S$100: PAssion Card Top-up in cash. For Singaporeans aged 50 and above in 2020.

Credited to PayNow account by June 18

If one's NRIC is registered with PayNow, the payout can be expected to be made by June 18.

To receive the payout via PayNow, one has to register their NRIC with PayNow through the bank by June 11.

Other methods of receiving the payout may receive it at later dates:

  • June 25: Direct bank crediting
  • Jun 30 to July 9: Cheque via mail

4 budgets so far

The Care and Support Package was announced in the earlier Unity and Resilience Budgets.

The Resilience Budget was brought forward and paid out on April 14.

According to Heng, a total of S$3.5 billion is expected to be disbursed to Singapore households.

On June 4, there will be a parliamentary debate on the fourth budget, the Fortitude Budget.
