51-year-old male Chinese national is S'pore's 24th Covid-19 related death

He was initially diagnosed with lymphoma.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced today (June 1)that a 51-year-old male Chinese national has died from complications due to Covid-19 on May 31.

This is the 24th death in Singapore that is caused by the virus.

Tested positive on May 1

The man, who is case 17,329,  was diagnosed with lymphoma complicated by multi-organ failure while he had been warded in the intensive care unit in end-April.

He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on May 1.

Despite being treated for lymphoma, his condition had deteriorated and he subsequently passed on.

The National University Hospital (NUH) has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.
