Japanese theme parks are sharing videos of their roller coaster rides so that you can experience an adrenaline rush from your couch.

Tokyo Dome City: Thunder Dolphin

With an incline of 80-degrees and maximum speed of 130 kilometres per hour, the drop during this ride is not for the faint-hearted.

Hailed as the signature ride of Tokyo Dome City, the Thunder Dolphin was named so as "the sight of it flying freely through its wavy course evokes the image of a real dolphin".

If you miss traveling to Tokyo, you can also watch this video for a lovely view of the city:

Hanayashiki: Roller Coaster

Tokyo's oldest amusement park, Hanayashiki, dates back to 1853, and is located in Asakusa, Japan.

It is home to Tokyo's oldest roller coaster, which is nearly 70-years-old, according to Tokyo Cheapo.

While speeds "only" reach up to 42 kilometres per hours on this ride, the creaking noises from the vintage roller coaster will make you feel glad you aren't actually on this ride in real life.

Hakkeijima Sea Paradise: Surf Coaster Leviathan

Over three minutes long, this roller coaster ride in Yokohama is the only one in Japan that travels over the ocean, according to Tokyo Day Trip.

Yomiuriland: Bandit

Enjoy the 'wild ride' on this roller coaster, called Bandit, which will bring you through the forests of western Tokyo.

In real life, the ride reaches speeds of up to 110 kilometres per hour.

For videos featuring other attractions at the same theme park, including bungee jumping, you can visit Yomiuriland’s official website.

Seibu-en: Merry-go-round

A kid-friendly ride for the younger ones in the family, the classic merry-go-round ride at Seibu-en has lions, horses, giraffes and even an ostrich.

If you're too stressed at the end of the day, this ride would be the best to relax 'on'.
