In the evening of May 11, a 58-year-old man was filmed arguing with a mall staff at the entrance of Square 2 @ Novena after he was asked to wear a mask.

Here is a video of the incident:

In the 20 second video, the man, who was dressed in a black shirt, can be seen shouting at a staff member of the mall, Lianhe Wanbao reports.

With his mask pulled down below his chin, the man in black shouts repeatedly at the mall staff: "What are you going to do to me?! What are you going to do to me?!"

After the mall staff asks: "Can you put on your bloody mask or not?" the man in black became agitated and replied,"If I don't put my bloody mask, what do you want?!"

The man in black then "challenges" the mall staff after the latter asks him: "What do you want now," before the video gets cut off.

Unmasked man calms down after Police arrives 10 minutes later

According to Lianhe Wanbao, the unmasked man had wanted to enter the mall but was stopped by the staff on duty because he did not put on his mask.

The unmasked man then became upset at the mall staff for asking him to wear his mask in an "unfriendly" manner, causing the former to lose his temper at the latter.

After this, the two began to scold each other.

It was only when the police arrived 10 minutes later that the unmasked man calmed down and cooperated with them.

The police has confirmed this incident and said that the unmasked man has been issued a fine of S$300 for not wearing a mask.
