According to a press release by the Singapore Police Force, the police were first alerted to a report of female undergarments being stolen outside a residential unit along Pasir Ris Street 12 on May 10, 2020.

He was subsequently arrested on May 20.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in the vicinity.

Previous case of undergarment thief

Just recently, another undergarment thief made the news.

39-year-old Lee Chee Kin was first arrested in July 2019 for stealing female undergarments over two years, trespassing into over 30 residences in the meantime.

However while out on bail, he flouted circuit breaker rules in order to look for bras and panties to steal.

On May 18, Lee pleaded guilty to ten charges relating to trespass, theft, dishonest misappropriation and unauthorised access to a debit card, and leaving his residence without reasonable excuse.
