To celebrate Mother's Day on May 10, a Singaporean woman decided to treat her mum to a meal.

However, as she was subjected to the circuit breaker measures, she resorted to a GrabFood delivery, according to her Facebook post.

The restaurant she ordered from was apparently facing "very high demand".

She said that there were 30 to 45 people waiting in line for their orders and there was an estimated waiting time of two hours.

But fortunately for her, her GrabFood rider was willing to wait.

The woman wrote in her post:

"I am very blessed to have Mr Kuah as my rider...he is very patient and bubbly despite having to deal with the long waiting time, and store owners who doesn’t care to update him the waiting time... He could have simply cancel on me, or pester me to cancel my order, but he didn’t. He didn’t cancel because he doesn’t want to ruin my family’s Mother’s Day, and he waited for 2 hours 40 minutes just for my order."

Here are some screenshots of the conversation she had with the rider:

According to the post, the rider had patiently waited for her order despite having a wife and family to celebrate Mother's Day with.

On top of that, he only earned less than S$10 for the time he had waited.

However, the woman said in the comments section that she had given the rider a tip.

Lim had initially wanted to cancel the order but wasn't sure if Grab gave any incentives to its riders for this situation.

In the end, although the restaurant had messed up some of her orders, the woman said that her heart was "full and contented" thanks to the rider's patience.
