3 Gong Cha outlets at Causeway Point, Paya Lebar Quarter & Nex to reopen on Saturday, May 23, 2020

Update on May 23, 11:52am: Gong Cha has updated that the takeaway option is not available at the stores. 

A grand total of three Gong Cha stores will reopen this Saturday, May 23, having received permission from the authorities to operate again.

The bubble tea and dessert chain announced on May 22 the outlets will be open for takeaway and delivery orders.

The stores are at Causeway Point, Paya Lebar Quarter and Nex.

“We miss you guys, but please observe proper safety distancing measures at these outlets!” Gong Cha said.

Safety ambassadors from Gong Cha will help with crowd management at the stores, it said.

It added that orders will be stopped if the queue “becomes unsafe”.

For orders of soufflé pancakes at these stores, customers should expect a 20-minute wait as they are freshly made on the spot.

Bubble tea shops were not allowed to be opened from 11.59pm on April 21 as part of stricter circuit breaker measures.
