Covid-19: 1,004 cases still in hospitals as of May 19, 2020, 10 in ICU

Among the confirmed cases, only one is a Singaporean.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 451 new cases of Covid-19 infection as of 12pm on Tuesday, May 19.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 28,794.

The majority of the cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

Among the confirmed cases, one was a Singaporean.

Summary of confirmed cases

530 more cases have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

In total, 10,365 have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 1,004 confirmed cases who are still in hospitals. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 10 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

17,403 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.

22 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
