Jurong Point FairPrice Xtra & Jurong wet market visited by infectious Covid-19 patients on May 24

People who visited these locations at the specified date and time should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has identified two more locations that confirmed infectious cases in the community had visited for more than 30 minutes on May 24. 

The two locations are the FairPrice Xtra outlet and the wet market at Block 963 Jurong West Street 91.

This brings the total number of locations within the Jurong West vicinity to four.

The information was included in MOH's daily press release on Tuesday, May 26.

Monitor your health if you've been there at these specific timings

The ministry added that they have already notified those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases.

MOH said that as a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

The timings are:

  • 4:30pm to 6:00pm on May 20 at NTUC FairPrice in Jurong Point Mall
  • 5:30pm to 6:30pm on May 21 at Japanese Food Street in Jurong Point Mall
  • 6:00am to 8:00am on May 24 at the wet market at Block 963
  • 1:00pm to 2:00pm on May 24 at Fairprice Xtra in Jurong Point Mall

Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases would already have been notified by MOH.

Patrons of the mall and wet market who visited these locations at the specified date and time should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell.

They should inform the doctor of their exposure history.

MOH to provide updated list of public places where confirmed community cases have been to

From May 25, MOH will be providing a list of public places that confirmed cases in the community had visited for more than 30 minutes.

This list of places excludes residence, workplaces, healthcare facilities and public transport.

MOH said as epidemiological investigations progress, the list will be updated accordingly.
