A Malaysian man working in Singapore has taken to Facebook to express his gratitude to two fellow motorcyclists he encountered in Singapore after he ran out of petrol on the expressway.

The Malaysian man was left stranded on the Pan-Island Expressway before the Bedok North Avenue 3 exit.

But help unexpectedly arrived from two Singaporeans passing by.

The two Good Samaritans, who are fellow motorcyclists, gave the Malaysian man a lift and helped to tow the stalled bike to the petrol kiosk.

Not only that, the two Singaporeans also paid for the Malaysian man's fuel.

In the Facebook post, the Malaysian man wrote that the Singaporeans used the Arabic word of "ikhlas", which means "sincere".

The two Singaporean men said they empathised with the Malaysian for coming to Singapore to work, and having to remain here during this Covid-19 circuit breaker period.

This was their way of showing their appreciation, the Singaporeans told the Malaysian.

"I was so glad with these two men," the Malaysian wrote.
