Grab drivers who rent their vehicles from Grab, known as GrabRentals hirer-partners, will receive two days of free rental per week, as part of the ride-hailing firm's Covid-19 support measures.

This is on top of the additional financial help that the company is providing drivers during this period, ranging from S$45 to S$85 per week.

Weekends are now rent-free

According to Grab, the rental waiver will allow GrabRentals hirer-partners to accumulate about 30 per cent of savings, regardless of how long they have been with Grab, and their rental quantum.

Drivers will only have to pay rental for Mondays to Fridays, and will be able to drive rental-free on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is on top of the zero per cent commission that all GrabRentals hirer-partners currently enjoy.

From May 10 to June 1, GrabRentals hirer-partners who complete at least 10 GrabFood or GrabExpress deliveries weekly will continue to enjoy zero commission charge, while those who choose not to will be subjected to a 5 per cent commission charge.
