12th Covid-19 death in S'pore is 84-year-old female S'porean

The Ministry of Health has announced the 12th Covid-19 death in Singapore.

The patient is Case 1071, an 84 year-old female Singapore Citizen.

She passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Apr. 21, 2020, at night.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Apr. 2.

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to her family and is extending their assistance to them.

Covid deaths in Singapore

On Apr. 18, Singapore announced its 11th Covid death, a 95 year-old male Singaporean. He was the oldest patient to have succumbed to Covid-19.

Earlier today (Apr. 22), the Ministry of Health preliminarily confirmed 1,016 new cases of Covid-19 infection.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 10,141.

The vast majority of cases remain Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There are also 15 Singaporeans and Permanent Residents among the new cases reported today.

25 are in intensive care.

967 cases are Work Permit holders living in dormitories.
