The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 799 new cases of Covid-19 on Apr. 27, with 764 comprising Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.

Two more deaths were announced on Monday as well — the 13th and 14th deaths from Covid-19 in Singapore.

Both were elderly Singaporeans

Both the deceased are elderly male Singapore citizens — Case 1,595 was 82 years old and Case 9682 was 81.

Both men died from complications from the virus on Monday (April 27).

Case 1,595 was tested positive for Covid-19 on Apr. 8, while Case 9,682 was confirmed to have the infection on Apr. 20.

The National Centre for Infectious Diseases has reached out to their families and is extending assistance to them.

The most recent Covid-19 death occurred on Apr. 22, and was Case 1071, an 84-year-old female Singapore Citizen.

She passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Apr. 21.

She tested positive for Covid-19 on Apr. 2.

An Indian construction worker, Case 8,190, died on Apr. 23.

He was originally found lying motionless at a staircase landing at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

In a following update, MOH confirmed that the 46-year-old man died from multiple injuries consistent with those sustained from a fall from height.

Although he was found to test positive for Covid-19 posthumously, his death was not due to complications from the virus.
