All schools will be closed from next week onwards.

While parents and students have to make arrangements to prepare for home-based learning, the hawkers working at the school canteens will have to find other ways to earn a living too.

Canteen hawker sells chicken rice chilli

One chicken rice seller, Jason Lim, is turning to selling chicken rice chilli sauce to make ends meet during this trying period.

Lim wrote that he is going to sell chilli sauce made from his own recipe, after the school that he’s working at closes on April 8.

The chilli sauce has no preservatives added, and can last for three to four months.

He is selling each bottle at S$4.50.

If you buy three bottles, that will cost S$12 (about S$4 each).

Collect from him at Ang Mo Kio area

As Lim does not have any vehicle, buyers will have to collect the sauce from him at Ang Mo Kio, or he can arrange a meet up.

He is also open to buyers bringing their own container to collect the chilli sauce from him.

Lim has created a WhatsApp group, and will be taking orders from there.

If you are interested, you can WhatsApp him at his number as stated in this post.
