95-year-old S'porean man, Patient 3145, is 11th Covid-19 death in S'pore

He is the oldest patient to have succumbed to Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced the passing of a 95 year-old male Singaporean due to Covid-19 infection on April 17 2020.

He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on April 13.

He was in hospital for four days.

Raffles Hospital has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.

Oldest patient to die of Covid-19

All eleven Covid-19 patients, who passed away due to complications, were elderly patients over the age of 64.

The oldest patient to have succumbed to Covid-19 before Patient 3145 was a 90-year old Singaporean man.

623 new cases on April 17

On April 17, MOH reported 623 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore.

These new cases consist of:

  • 1 imported case.
  • 37 Work Permit holders (residing outside of dormitories).
  • 558 Work Permit holders (residing in dormitories)
  • 27 other cases in the community (22 Singaporeans/ PermanentResidents, four work passes, one visitor).

This brings the total number of cases to 5,050.
