Two men and a woman, aged between 35 and 50, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a case of robbery and drug-related offences.

The two men had been accompanied by the woman when they allegedly robbed a 33-year-old man along Stirling Road, in Queenstown.

The robbery

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) received the report of the robbery on Feb. 25, 2020, around 5:10pm.

The man said that he had been robbed of his sling bag containing various cards, cash, and a mobile phone.

In the process, two men had assaulted him.

According to the SPF, investigations were carried out with the aid of images from police cameras.

Officers from the Clementi Police Division were able to establish the identities of a 35-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man.

Arrested, drugs found

They were arrested along Choa Chu Kang Road, on Feb. 27 — two days after the robbery was reported.

A subsequent raid of their rented unit in the same area found the following drugs:

  • 4g of 'Ice'
  • 300g of new psychoactive substances
  • 440g of Heroin

The other man allegedly involved in the robbery was arrested in a joint SPF-Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) operation.

The 50-year-old was apprehended in a residential unit along Segar Road with about 40g of new psychoactive substances found on him.

The two men will be charged on Feb. 28, 2020, with robbery with hurt, under Section 394 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

If found guilty, they could be jailed between five and 20 years, and given at least 12 strokes of the cane.

SPF and CNB investigations against all three suspects are ongoing.
